Close-up
magic is both informal and personal. I move from one group or
location to another, performing magic with the help of volunteers
from each small audience. Cards and other objects mystically appear,
disappear, and change right before their eyes - and right in their
hands! Perhaps they'll get a chance to test their "psychic
powers." They might even meet the mystical wizard Merlin
himself!
I
also offer entertainment at a "Magic Table," a style
often seen on television. Your guests can easily come and go,
and can watch or sit down and participate as they please.
My
brand of magic is relaxed and approachable. It appeals to the
imagination and focuses on sharing the wonder of the seemingly
impossible. It creates comaraderie, and invites the curiosity
and comfortable participation of even the most timid or reserved
onlookers. Challenges by skeptics in the group are treated as
just part of the fun.
Presentations
are paced to build and sustain interest, and are always appropriate
for the occasion and audience involved. My primary goal is to
enhance your hospitality, and contribute to the overall success
of your event.
